When you take property management software to the internet, the possibilities grow beyond just the office program. Tenants and customers alike can log onto your customized property management software and have immediate access to many of the information they find necessary, as well as finding answers to common questions they have. Residents may need to file a complaint or a request for maintenance or help, and this may also be offered on a personalized web site. Each resident can set up his own account and access his own personal information at any time he might choose. If he decides to check and see how much he owes for the month, he may do so; if he wants to see if his work order has been received, he can log on and find the necessary information; and if he needs a personal email address for someone within administration or even a phone number for a specific department, he can access a list of these immediately as well. In short, many of a residents needs can be met in this simple way without first having the hassle for both you and the resident of the need to make fruitless phone calls and inquiries before the question can even begin to be addressed. However, web-base property management software might present a few challenges to the property manager, chief among them is data security and the relatively slow process of data entry.
